It is, however, common knowledge that uncle Paul wrote Hey "Jules" to Julian when he tried to comfort the son. John's contribution was that the "the movement you need is on your shoulders" -line was left. See Wikipedia, Hey Jude song facts. Sounds like Julian was closer to Paul.

After "Beautiful Sean", it's great to know that "Hey Jude" was writtten for Julian. Thank God John didn't forget his first son. No, he wasn't a family man when with Julian's mom. Thus, while both sons lost Dad to senseless murder, one also lost him to banal divorce. To the child, which hurts more? Julian has always been publicly gracious regarding that breakup which meant the breakup of his family. May he reap the benefit of having John's political sensibility, and the talent to make it count.

Julian has always been a class act - and have been truthful about his Father. I never brought into the Lennon (wonderful, caring, family man) He was a musician, and never a family man - hell, most great artist are not at all (Scott Fitzgerald was) McCartney is a rare bird in Pop music; he and Linda raised a solid brood. I love Paul; and I love John. A yin and yang that made the greatest - the greatest

Fuck this talentless victim. His younger brother has gobs more musical talent than he ever will. I hated his "John JR." cookie cutter crap when it came out and am glad his 15 minutes came and went.

Well.... uhhh... gee, ok. Ackowledged captain. In as far as the "venoms" (pl.) mentioned, I certainly regret it too..... and you word it so beautifully. Who really understands biology anyway? (said with Liverpudlian accent) and I did whitness his act in 1965.

Julian...is a wonderful young man. He is putting the peices of his life together, and seems grounded and sincere. He seems to be the man that his father would have loved to have been. We all have family issues to deal with, and in time, we learn from their mistakes and try to understand that no one is perfect. He has accepted what he cannot change...and is a better person for it. He is a jewel to his family legacy...love him!!

Shuddup yourself. John Lennon loved LSD, and Yoko did it with him, and later on got him into heroin. They might not have known what a drugbuddy was back then, but we know now. Co-dependence is not love. Love doesn't require the destruction and denial of everything that came before.

The problem is he was lying. He had been three years with Cynthia as his steady, without using contraceptives, before he got her pregnant. People who knew him by that time took for granted they would marry anyway. Pete Best talks in his book about how John used to miss Cynthia in Hamburg, and talked to him about marrying her and creating a family. When he was with Yoko, all his previous life was erased, he even lied about that (three years of relationship are not a night).

Chapman ended up in jail, where he deserves to be. Yoko behaved evilly and got millions, the chance to "vaporize" May Pang, and half the stakes in the Lennon/McCartney catalogue, to Paul's dismay. People's sense of justice compensate by despising her as much as she deserves, which is an awful lot.

Yoko demanded John to leave music so he would be a househusband. So, whoever inspired him to write more music, and supported him so he would focus on his career, are Cynthia Powell Lennon and May Pang. If anything, Yoko took him out of music for five full years. So, credit where it's due: the women supportive of his music were Cyn and May. With Cyn he wrote stuff like I feel fine, with May stuff like Dream 9. He was a his best with those two.

Because she's evil, selfish, an attention whore, a celebrity stalker an in short, a waste of oxygen. A woman who tells his husband he cannot see his son because it hurts her, is selfish and evil. A woman who talks about feminism but uses a young, innocent girl to please his husband, and later on fires her without any help, is not only evil, but also hypocritical. She more than deserves all the hatred she got. She sold the house that was meant for John's sisters (where Mimi lived).

John loved LSD, and then heroine, and then someone to take care of him so he wouldn't have to take responsibility for his life. The two women of his life were Cynthia Powell and May Pang. They didn't know in the sixties what a drinkbuddy or a drugbuddy was. They didn't know about emotional blackmail or cashing in on guilt. But time puts everything and everyone in its proper place.

Great documentary, "The real John Lennon". A lot of info. I hadn't heard or seen about his relationship with Yoko. I did come away from it feeling sad for John.
