Heard this on the radio in S Utah. Sort of a regional hit in the Southwest.

The Lead Vocalist Cindy Alter is now part of her own band Called Alter-Irving Band that did a rendition of "Jolene' in 2010. Irving being from the band - Bally Hoo-the rest seem to drifted back into obscurity. Incidentally,my friend John (MrHaggis64) who posted this video sadly died about a year ago now

what happened to the band, after they finished their career in the 1980s? garry.

the reason the band could not record in london was due to apartihied, from 1964 to 1989. what happened to the band.

the reason the band could not come to london to record TOTP was quite rightly, due to the apartiheid laws in south afrcia from 1964 to 1989. what happened to the band garry.

I too loved the song. TOTP had to show the programme from Holland because the band were not allowed ,quite rightly.to travel to the UK because of apartihied. garry.

saw this on a top of the pops repeat from 1978 last night - bit of a novelty to have an all female band

LOL, you're not alone; Farrah Fawcett's character in Charlie's Angels was also the one every girl wanted to be. I guess I was the big exception though, I was a big fan of Abba in the 70's and I wanted to be Frida (the auburn-haired one).

I love this song, I remember the original 78 release. A little comical though seeing the lead singer's breast bobbing up and down on her guitar, and the band name could have been better though out, as a clout is another name for a girl's...
