I love Jacob, but this is one rendition Im not quite sure about. I also grew up next door to the carpenters, I think the rendition wouldve been best the traditional way. Im a huge Manhattan transfer fan, big on vocal harmonies, but not sure this is the right track for a laid back funk beat (Jdilla, D'Angelo) groove feel... possible.. just dont think this is the one. I'm just sayin... love everything else my boy Jacob does, but I think this is a matter of wrong track selection. Its Aight... but just that... Aight, not great. Peace to Jacob regardless.
