Close Encounters Of The Third Kind (Disco Mix) - Gene Page video free download

Extended disco-lite version of the main theme from "Close Encounters...", originally composed by John Williams and covered by Gene Page for this 1977 release. Possibly not one of the most successful 'tribute instrumentals' from the 70's this stands today more as a quaint, kitsch curio.

The video was made using stills from the movie and my own artwork (with thanks and acknowledgements to Seth MacFarlane for 'Roger!').

Excellent musicianship by actual humans playing instruments. Only in the 1970s was it possible to chart on the radio with funky sci fi synth drums, electric guitar and a full orchestra.

Such a great tune. It's a wonder it didn't become a hit single back in the late 1970's. I only heard it on FM radio once or twice back then. Anyway it's good to hear it again. Thanks for posting it "masque63"
