Brown died at 25 in a car accident. Bud Powell's brother, Richie, a pianist, and his wife were also killed. Brownie lives through this beautiful song.

Clifford Brown was never underrated. He was the only other trumpeter that Miles Davis thought was in his own league. It was Dizzy who told Max Roach, Art Blakey and Miles Davis to catch Clifford Brown's show ASAP. He inspired the young Lee Morgan and Freddie Hubbard, Charles Tolliver and countless others. No trumpeter, including Satchmo, ever got such sweetness out of a horn. Clifford!!!!!!Forever!

Haunting tune from written by Victor Young for the Cecil B. DeMille flim. Great solos by everyone. Clifford Brown was a true giant. Harold Land, Richie Powell George Morrow and Max Roach complement Brownie's sound and style perfectly.
