Cliff Richard - We don't talk anymore 1979

Used to think that life was sweet,

Used to think we were so complete,

I can't believe you'd throw it away.

Used to feel we had it made,

Used to feel we could sail away,

Can you imagine how I feel today,

Well it seems a long time ago

you were the lonely one,

Now it comes to letting go

you are the only one,

Do you know what you've done.

It's so funny how we don't talk anymore,

It's so funny why we don't talk anymore,

But I ain't losing sleep and I ain't counting sheep,

It's so funny how we don't talk anymore.

(Instrumental)

Well it really doesn't matter to me,

I guess you'r leaving was meant to be,

It's down to you now you wanna be free,

Well I hope you know which way to go

you're on your own again,

And don't come crying to me

when you're the lonely one,

Remember what you've done.

It's so funny how we don't talk anymore,

It's so funny why we don't talk anymore,

But I ain't losing sleep and I ain't counting sheep,

It's so funny how we don't talk anymore.

(Instrumental)

It's so funny how we don't talk anymore

We don't talk

Amazing how this paedophile has eluded justice for so long, but then again being a member of the royal pedo club does help you in that respect.

Is the audience dead? Man, they're all just sitting there without so much as tapping a foot to such a great song!

Cliff Richard does a tour of Japan and at the end of the concert asks for any song requests. The crowd roars: “Tits and Fanny”. Cliff looks around puzzled and asks again. The crowd roars: “Tits and Fanny”. Cliff looks across at his manager and asks what song is that. The manager doesn’t know so Cliff asks the crowd to sing it for him and they roar: “Tits and Fanny, how we don’t taaaaalk anymore”.

.... years ago, when I was a cab driver, this song came on the car radio just as I was pulling away from the curb with a passenger who had a recent tracheotomy (brought on by years of chain smoking) and, needless to say, I wanted to curl up and die at that very moment.... This person could not talk anymore.... I thought about changing the radio station, but then thought that would've been too obvious.... So, I let it play.... I believe, to this day, that song was meant for that person to reflect on the choice they consciously made to continue smoking....
