Of course not...and we owe them a great deal for letting them introduce long forgotten black blues artists to the music masses... But the blues is the sound and feeling of those old forgotten poor black guys trying to find their way through life via music...

It's a good thing people like Eric Clapton, Stevie Ray Vaughn, and Jack White didnt let that type of logic stop them.

Not as heavy as 1972. I love CGMB but man Exile is funky ass shit.

Sorry...but no one can sing the blues like an original blues artist... Mick Jagger is trying to sound like a bluesman on this song... Clarence Gatemouth Brown IS a bluesman...no need to try... It may be a great Rolling Stones blues song but this song is meant to be sung by the original of it's kind...

Sonny Landreth is on slide. He's played with John Hiatt quite a bit. Drive South is a great album.

@nopepper4 Actually, Mick Taylor's slide riff is the basis for the original.

I personally feel Gatemouth OWNS this song...

@ms3ss05 I'd have to agree. I am a fan of both musicians, but every song on the album Exile on Main St built on the others. In my opinion, you can't take a single song out of Exile, it loses what made it great if you did.
