@HamerScarab1 correct, they played this at the Empire around '85, along with fear the night, freewheelin, i was born to rock n roll and others. I have Vol I demo, Talk is Cheap is on Vol II, both demos recorded with original drummer and guitar player.13 years ago

This does look like the "Night Songs" tour. This song, however, wasn't recorded by the band until their 1994 album "Still Climbing." Are you sure this clip is from the 1987 "Night Songs" Tour? Why would he introduce this song as a "new song" if he didn't plan to release it until 3 albums later?13 years ago

It's great to hear it live, thanks! I red interviews where Tom said in 1987 they had a bunch of new songs for the next record and "Talk is Cheap" was one of these, but I always wondered why he used it in 1994 rather than 1988!14 years ago
