I like this song a lot more than their first single from this album. It's super tight and has a great beat. I'm now really looking forward to their next album (And I'm going to see them live for my first time in October). One thing I hope for in the next album is that we have some songs with their more "darker" tone, ala "Science/Vision" or "lies". I just love blaring those songs when I need to get some emotion out!

I absolutely loved the debut album as well as get away, dead air, leave a trace and never ending circles. At first I didn't find this one quite as good as their other songs but the more I listen to it and the more I love it. Can't wait to buy the new album. CHVRCHES 4 LIFE <3

84 people must be listening to another song. Clearest Blue is probably their best song yet. I was getting annoyed by how long it's taken for this album to come out, but I've been shown why. This album blows the old one out the water and The Bones Of What You Believe is one of my favourite albums. I agree with Daniel, this album veers away from your standard pop song, the early tracks they've released so far have fantastic substance and depth. The overall sound is similar to the old album (which is nothing bad) but these songs have a very different feel. And I prefer it. An amazing album so far, just can't wait for the rest of it!!

Sorry, the stuff from their new album doesn't hold a candle to the last. It'll probably grow on me with a few listens like most stuff does but this song, like the rest I've heard, is a tad too monotonous to me.

Been with CHVRCHES since Lies came out on SoundCloud 3 years ago, and unfortunately this is where they've lost me. TBOWYB was a fantastic album, and I wouldn't of cared if they made Every Open Eye sound completely different or exactly the same. For me that's not the point. The synths are monotonous, the lyrics are lifeless. Sorry to say that I just feel like they're trying to stay relevant by riding the wave of success that came off the back of TBOWYB.
