The Original Chuck Wagon Gang, Anna, Rose, Jim, And D.P. (Dad) Carter recorded "We Are Climbing" April 23, 1940 and "Way Up In Glory" April 25, 1951. Thanks to the dedicated work of Harold Timmons in compiling the complete discography of the Chuck Wagon Gang for the 1990 Bob Terrell book "The Chuck Wagon Gang - A Legend Lives On" that I am able to share this information.

Perfect music for a 1950's era serial killer movie set in a rural location.

The Chuck Wagon Gang sings songs to live by. They are joyful and optimistic. They make you ready to meet the Lord. I love the harmony and the way they blend together. They are just all 'round exceptional as gospel singers.

I'm 75 now and have been a Christian most of my life. I credit my early love of God and desire for salvation to my saintly Christian mother and the Chuck Wagon Gang.

Both my parents grew up with Chuck Wagon Gang song books in their churches. My dad used to play gospel tapes on long trips we took, and my grandparents played this as well as a lot of other old time music. When I was a young boy, I listened to gospel when all the other kids where listening to pop and rock. I love singing these old songs in and out of church. I became a good musician thanks to gospel and bluegrass.

I grew up listening to the chuckwagon gang - in the early 50's. they were broadcast out of WLS in Chicago on the Suppertime Frolic radio show. We were able to pick up the station way down in SW Kentucky. Sure brings back a lot of memories of sitting around the radio listening before TV

My grandma and grandpa had some of the Chuck Wagon Gang Albums and this brings back precious memories of spending time with them...especially getting ready for church on Sunday mornings.

After church, sometime in the mid/late 1960s, my dad used to tune the car radio to The Mull Singing Convention. I think that's the name of the program. Mr. Mull and his wife played Chuck Wagon Gang songs. This is how I was introduced to the group. My wife and I saw the current group a few years ago. We enjoyed it VERY MUCH.

Makes me proud that my Grandparents raised me. And now I have been in the business 36 years. Don't regret one second of it either. God bless everyone.
