Thanks for providing the best laugh of the day (and I don't mean the song). You are too clever for your own good. By the way, breaking the law may lead to an upward spiral in weight as illustrated by Elvis who recorded it in 1957 and years later couldn't squeeze into his costumes, even with diet pills. . . too many fried peanut butter and blueberry jam sandwiches, perhaps.

@Multi1628 Correct!!! Both Ike and JFK tried to push bills through to rescind dat law but both failed. Kennedy was so outraged he vowed to attempt another run at it but sadly,Lee Harvey Oswald firmly believed dat Truman was correct in signing the legislation into law and many historians believe this may have contributed to dat ill fated day.

Thank you for posting this classic done by Chubby Checker - growing up in New Orleans, my first loyalty is to the Fats Domino original though. I never heard this track from his 1961 LP, "For Twisters Only." It reminds me of Freddie Cannon as well as The Twist. Enjoyed your comments - but wasn't Eisenhower or Kennedy prez at that time? DAVEDJ, musical history buff of sorts.......
