@reasonedful In the same sense, The British and the Americans share religions, customs, architecture, holidays, food, ect as well (rituals, i don't know so much). There's no denying that much of American culture stems from British/European culture, but equating the cultures wouldn't really make sense, as American culture has become something very different from its European counterparts.

@reasonedful you know, i never actually thought about that. I'll have to agree with you on the point that Taiwanese culture stems from Chinese culture more than i'd have admitted earlier. That being said, my point wasn't that one was derivative of the other, it was that there are similarities, yet enough differences to set the two apart.
