This is a fantastic song of the German artist Christopher Franke (from Tangerine Dream)

This song is from the series Babylon 5 which Franke scored the soundtrack to, and it can be found on the album "Best of Babylon 5"

Enjoy

This track is very similar to track 7 "In Julie's Eyes" from Tangerine Dream soundtrack for "Miracle Mile."

haha, I'm obviously not the only geek who plays B5 soundtracks just for the enjoyment of it. Have also had the B5 doorchime sound as my main email account notification for years now ;)

a firm favourite of mine. May I be so bold as to recommend, for those new to the incidental music for Babylon 5, the series of tracks which form "In The Beginning", also the first two parts of this are definitely well worth listening to. Thanks Jan-Erik for sharing

Heard someone playing a sound bite of this on their phone at StarBucks the other day. I recognized it in an instant due to C Franke's work is so unique. Ended up striking up a 2 hour conversation with the person about the show and musical talent.

Christopher Franke is one of my absolute favorite sci-fi composers. There's something very special about his music especially in the B5 series that no other sci-fi has (for me), I think it's a beautifully accomplished sense of mystery, excitement, uncertainty and cosmic beauty. Every B5 track is just amazing, in my opinion. They range from soothingly mysterious and calm to dramatically powerful and they're all full of a wide range of emotion. Just my opinion, of course, but felt like sharing.

@Scifimaster92 Yeah, i agree on that one! "Near Dark" is a very good album, and probably easy to get some ideas from. Besides, Franke has this "sound" to his songs that makes them unique, it can be recognized everywhere

@WakemanFan90 Speaking of which, have you noticed that the soundtrack to the 1987 film "Near Dark" by Tangerine Dream (of which Franke was a member at the time) sounds very similar to that of "Babylon 5"? (At least it does to me.)

Great piece! "Babylon 5" is certainly a sci-fi classic, no doubt in part due to Chris Franke's soundtrack.
