"Christmas Canon" is a Christmas song by the Trans-Siberian Orchestra from their 1998 album The Christmas Attic. It often ranks on the iTunes Top 100 Chart at Christmas time.

The song is set to the tune of Johann Pachelbel's Canon in D Major with new lyrics added. The style is a departure from TSO's usual rock arrangements, instead being performed in the style of a children's choir with light accompaniment from piano and strings. The group's rock version is entitled "Christmas Canon Rock", which debuted on their 2004 album The Lost Christmas Eve.

This may just be a glimpse of what Heaven will be like singing praises to our Heavenly Father with His Son Jesus Christ sitting on his right hand side.

I suppose it is kind of odd that I am a non-believer, yet I love this song and so many Christmas songs! In fact, my favorite things about Christmas are the music and the lights! You don't have to believe in god to appreciate the beauty of this song and so many other Christmas tunes!

This is one of my favorite songs! I love the rounds and different voice parts! They’re gorgeous! Alto, and Soprano’s I can hear very clearly what they’re singing/saying! This year my Choir is singing something sorta like this! And there are different beautiful voice parts that is very easy to tell what part is singing what! It’s called “The Old Mill” and it’s a beautiful song!

This tune makes me sad and happy, sad because my dad passed away thirty years ago March of this year and happy because he was here to support us when we were kiddies growing up. Always loved daddy. It was his favourite tune.

Man, this is a very powerful, emotional, and amazing song. It reminds me of 2005, when I was born. It doesn't make sense for some of you guys but it reminds me of my pets that have unfortunately passed away. Thank you Kathy for doing this. :)

I love this song.  I look forward to hearing it every Christmas ever since I learned its title.  I also listen to it in July because I believe in Christmas In July.  I also listen to Christmas songs anytime from Ash Wednesday to Palm Sunday (The Lenten Season) as well as Halloween cds, Irish Music for Saint Patrick's Day, New Year's Day, and even Valentine's Day.  This became a tradition because Easter can be celebrated everyday because we celebrate Jesus being risen from the grave.  Of course though he is risen every day of the year and that's why I have this tradition.  However this Lenten Season I am once again going to choose youtube as my thing to give up.  I feel God gave me a choice of either it or Easter candy which is already available.  So I guess I will have to just wait until July if this world lasts that long to hear it.  July 5 to be exact.  For the record I did not cheat and listen to this in February which is not in any of the above times of the year but had the sound off and used the mouse to drag it to the end of the video.  So I did not hear any portion of this song when I typed this comment.  So at least I'm honest.  Man it is so tempting to listen to it though.  I am currently writing a book and this song's title appears in it approximately 20 times.  All but two are in a part of it I have thought about making a you tube video about which will include reading with words on the screen of that section of it.  The reading part would include a Christmas poem I wrote which is presently in the book at this time as well.  Finally at the end of the video I would play this song.
