This is a wonderful performance, but it truly shows how challenging this song is to sing, ESPECIALLY live. Takes a lot of breath control and it can be difficult to keep the correct tempo when singing a ballad with a live band. She struggled at times in the performance, not because she's a bad singer or ill prepared, but because again, it's a difficult song. Excellent work for such a young singer. It also speaks to how talented Whitney was at the height of her career and to how much technical training goes into being a good singer.

Christina sang this in her own way.... She's amazing. To sing this song with this much power at that age, she is a phenomenal vocalist, and Whitney Houston would not lie about her having the best rendition besides hers. Christina's ... In my opinion... Was different she didn't try and sound exactly like Whitney and hit all the same notes with the same tone- she made it her own.

she looks so pretty here. i think this was one of her pretty eras. when she's big, she starts looking like cyndi lauper. and girl can sang. it's when she starts doing all those crazy acrobatics w/ her voice, she sounds off, but if she just sings, she's great.

This was a tribute that she did for Whitney Houston out of all the people that they asked at that time they asked Christina Aguilera to do this tribute think about it out of all the singers In the world , I mean would you not be nervous having to sing that song and Whitney was sitting in the front row I think she did an amazing job, and Whitney also thought so too cuz when she accepted her award winning tell Christina that was the best rendition of run to you that she's ever heard beside her that must have been a huge compliment because she just could have said you did a great job and she didn't she said it was the best rendition of the song

Why do people act like she's trying to outdo Whitney or something? It was a Whitney tribute, she was doing just that- paying tribute. And Whitney herself she liked it and that she likes Christina. They are two different artists who are both amazing singers. Leave it at that.
