That idea is deviating a bit. Jesus was successful (and He came to seek and to save the lost!). As Christians, we can never fail if we let the Spirit do the work. Christ did not come for followers, He made disciples. Going forward without a goal of success is just like saying that one who wants to finish a race but not have the finish line in mind. We shouldn't shame ourselves, but yes become humble. Be careful about saying "every idea is false except this" statements. Only some of that is true
