I've been vetting this guy to determine whether he should be taken seriously in the rap industry or not. I just don't think he brings enough lyrical prowess to the table though. You can have all the charisma and swag in the world, but that shit won't plop you next to the rap greats. Look at Kendrick, he has swag and charisma just like Webs here but K-dot presents himself in such a respectable manner. Chris Webby has some songs I really like, not for their depth or lyricism but for the beat and maaaaaaaaybe a bit of his delivery/flow. For example, the songs Warm Up, Bars on Me, and Church all by Webs are devilishly catchy because of the beats on them. Oh lode, give those sounds to Logic, J Cole, K-dot, or Big Krit, I swear the world will implode. He has a fine ear and mouth for catchy pop tunes, but in terms of being the next big thing, the "killah of all rappahs", the Hip-hop GOAT: Webby? na I don't fuckin' think so.
