Jesus, You Are My LORD!"And whenever the unclean spirits saw him, they fell down before him and cried out, “You are the Son of God.” ~ Mark 3:11Whenever and wherever Jesus encountered demonic spirits, they always recognized His divine authority and loudly proclaimed that He was the Son of God! By postmodern "Christian" standards, this public profession of faith would have equated to "SALVATION" for those demons and afforded them the "right" to inherit the Kingdom of God. However, the Holy Scriptures don't confirm, nor do they even suggest, that the demons were being saved through their public profession of Christ's divine authority. Why, then, does the American pulpit-preacher assert that, all someone has to do to be saved is "say this simple prayer" and "make a public profession of faith" and voila, you have a guaranteed ticket to heaven? What does Authentic Salvation look like? It is written, “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.” (Matthew 7:21). Here we see that Authentic Salvation is ALWAYS evidenced by outward works of righteousness and obedience to the will of God. While the demons did submit to the authority of Christ, they had no intention of following Him in doing good works and deeds of righteousness... they had no intention of living under His command: to love God above all else and to love others ahead of self. Those demons would NEVER consider denying self, taking up a cross of suffering and humility, and following Christ in self-abandon. No, those demons did NOT receive salvation... because they never made Jesus the LORD and Master of their lives. Now, let me ask YOU... Do YOU have Authentic Salvation? Is Christ the LORD and Master of your life? Are you striving to live by the commands of Christ? Do you daily give up your own will and desires to instead seek and do the will of God? "For those who live by the will of the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live by the will of the Spirit set their minds on the things of the Spirit." ~ Romans 8:5 One Day, every knee will bow before God... One Day, every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is the True Son of God. But ONLY those who received Authentic Salvation by giving up the will of the flesh to follow Christ and living in humble submission to His commands will inherit the Kingdom of God. It's time to take an honest look in the mirror and ask yourself: are you living under Authentic Salvation, is your life genuinely given up to the will of Christ?
