Personally I am too young to fully feel the true meaning but for me I like to put into my own perspective and relate t to myself. To me it's like a conflicting thought in my head about trying to move on from someone or continue to feel things they won't feel back in a sense. Could be an ex or a love interest that is unrequited. You can live your everyday life by internally feel like shit cause you're so conflicted with the thought of that person. You can keep on going with this livelihood or you can "call it quits". Either way it could end in my loving that other person in a way. Just my personal take, I know it's not what it's really about but it makes the song relatable and more meaningful for my mindset
