Damn, no where near Tom Cochrane's. Of course, CMT probably never knew the difference and thought this was a work of genius in Nu Cuntry. Sad.

...LeDoux did his version of Liife Is a Highway" a song written by Tom Cochrane from his 1991 album Mad, Mad World. The best kind of praise, whatever genre, is in the number of times a song is covered by other artists. The song which has been covered the most is the Beatles "Eleanor Rigby" having been reworked 131 times. The favorite guess would be "Yesterday," by the Beatles. The Ginussewas song reworked 131 times as the reworked 131 times. The song was Cochrane's biggest but was covered by the likes of Rascal Flatts for the Cars soundtrack, as well as by LeDoux, Alvin and the Chipmunks, and Jerry Jeff Walker, motley crew to say the least. The song covered the most times is "Eleanor Rigby and is one of the Beatles tunes that also shows up on this top 10 list..Eleanor Rigby (The Beatles) the enigmatic tale has been reworked 131 times, by Joan Baez and Aretha Franklin among others.2. Yesterday (The Beatles)According to 'Guinness World Records' this song was covered seven million times in the 20th century. Official versions range from the sublime (Frank Sinatra) to the ridiculous (Wet Wet Wet and Boyz II Men).3. Cry Me a River (Julie London)Not the Justin Timberlake one. This bluesy jazz number has been covered by other luminaries of the genre, including Ella Fitzgerald and Ray Charles, and even Aerosmith.4. And I Love Her (The Beatles)From 'A Hard Day's Night', Smokey Robinson, Bob Marley and Barry Manilow have all recorded it.5. (I Can't Get No) Satisfaction (The Rolling Stones)With 98 covers recorded, the Stones make the top 10. A surprising range of artists have lapped this one up, including Aretha Franklin, Jimi Hendrix, Cat Power and Vanilla Ice.Imagine (John Lennon)Elton John, David Bowie, Diana Ross, Avril Lavigne and Jack Johnson... the list is endless.7. Summertime (Abbie Mitchell)Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Armstrong provide the best known adaptation, so no one remembers the original. Sonny and Cher, Nina Simone and REM have recorded their take.8. Blackbird(The Beatles)Another album track from the Fab Four, which has been covered by Carly Simon and Dave Grohl who was a drummer for Nirvana. His talent went basically unknown because of the larger than life -- yet tormented and most incredulous, Curt Kobain,, was who unlucky enough to try and live through that kiss of death. 9. Over the Rainbow (Judy Garland)Dorothy was blissfully unaware of how popular the tune would be. Special mentions to Eva Cassidy and the brilliant partial cover by Israel Kamakawiwo'ole.10. The Look of Love (Dusty Springfield)After husky Dusty, the CV is impressive, with Nina Simone, Diana Krall and Neil Diamond all doing it.

Chris LeDoux is the greatest country legend. He was, is, and always will be the best country singer of all time. If anyone wants to hear real country music, listen to Chris LeDoux. All of today's country isn't real country, it's country mixed with other music.

This is the best version of the song by far! But y'all should know and understand that Chris bought the rights to the song meaning he can sing it publicaly and sell it

To me, it's all about the song, not who sings it. I have no idea who Tom Cochran is, but I've listened to Chris for as long as I can remember and he's the one I first heard do this song. Personally, don't care for the Rascal Flatts version, but if I'd heard them do it first, I probably would have liked it. I'm sure there are a lot of Rascal Flatts fans who have no idea who Tom NOR Chris are. At least the song's getting to a wider audience because of the number of people who've covered it.
