Summer nights and long warm days

Stolen as the old moon falls

And the mirror shows another face

Another place to hide it all

And I'm lost behind

The words I'll never find

And I'm left behind

As seasons roll on by

Sleeping with a full moon blanket

Sand and feathers for my head

Dreams have never been the answer

The dreams have never made my bed

And I'm lost behind

The words I'll never find

And I'm left behind

As the seasons roll on by

Well, I wanna fly above the storm

But you can't grow feathers in the rain

And the naked floor is cold as hell

The naked floor reminds me

That I'm lost behind

The words I'll never find

And I'm left behind

As the seasons roll on by

If I should be short on words

And long on things to say

Could you crawl into my world

And take me worlds away?

Should I be beside myself

And not even stay?

And I'm lost behind

The words I'll never find

And I'm left behind

As the seasons roll on by

I don't care whether you've come here from listening to Soundgarden or watching Singles or Man of Steel. It doesn't matter. I'm just glad that there are people coming together and appreciating good music and great talent. It's a form of brilliance you don't find so much in this day and age and that's what makes this such a gem.

Born in '72, I was 19/20 and in College when this fantastic music blew us ALL away.I always felt Sound Garden, and particularly Chris Cornell, never got their just due. These guys combined Punk/Grunge with a nasty infusion of true Hard Rock.Go back and listen to this, listen to Hunger Strike, and then find a more recent performance of Chris and Eddie doing Hunger Strike now. It's as fresh as the day it came out.Great Music from a great era for me, personally.

BRILLIANT! I was watching "Pearl Jam Twenty" and had to look this up. It took me several hours to get through that documentary as I went crazy on YouTube with all the grunge (my favorite era). Born in 1965.

what brought me to this song, was Man of Steel movie! I know it sounded like the Sound Garden lead singer. But didn't know his name. Love the guitar tune in this song. Want to learn how to play it once I learn how to play my acoustic! :) Henry knows he's a cutie pie and very photogenic. ;)

This song brings back a lot of memories from a very trying time in my life. Newly divorced, turning 30 years old, half my life behind me. The future.....

....rain soaked Seattle streets, ...buses churn by, ...clove burns down, ...my Frye boots the only rhythm I heed on the sidewalk, the taste of coffee the only warmth in hand, .....[just a few of my memories of Seattle in the 90s when I hear this song]

Everytime I fly into SeaTac Airport I think of this song when you finally see Mt. Rainier outta the window and the rest of downtown Seattle. I only live there for literally 8 weeks, but nothing has felt more like home and I've never missed a city the way I miss Seattle.
