So far we’ve lost focusLets just concentrate on words that could mean everythingOn nights like thisWe drink ourselves dryAnd make promisesWithout intentionSo fortunate that this was brought upThe last time. As I recallI can’t hold up your every expectationOn nights like thisWe drink ourselves dryAnd make promisesWithout intentionMy God, is this what we’ve become?Living parodies of love and lossCan we really be all that lost?So fortunate that this was brought upThe last time. As I recallI can’t hold up your every expectationOne moment to another I am restlessSeems making love forever can often risk your heartAnd I cannot remember when I was this messed upIn service of another I am beautiful

damn why havent i listened to this sooner. Its like the closest thing to AF. Maybe it's even better. Nah, both bands have their own distinct feel/style. The vocals remind me a bit of Saosin and Underoath.

99.99% of Western music uses a 4/4 time signature. This song doesn't. It uses a 11/8 and a 11/4 time signature. That's why it sounds so different.

The way the song begins it just feels like being launched forward in odd time
