Jeffrey it was a unbelievable era. I saw the band Modern English for 5 dollars in a small club in NY when they first came around. There was hardly anybody in the club. I was right in front. They sounded exactly like the !st album called "After the snow". What did your cousin die of?

Absolutely Frank I miss this era! My Cousin is deceased and GOD rest his soul, who was the audio engineer or the Cars.

To me, the break at 1:06 - 1:18 sounds a lot like U2 I will follow..

The 1980's were the BEST rock and roll era, period! The lyrics and music were absolutely unstoppable and the greatest in United States history. My Cousin did the audio engineering tracks for the Cars back in the 1980's period when composition of music was at its optimum.

Ooh, what new club is this that plays exclusively 70s and 80s music?!!! I must swagger up to the bar, order a Fuzzy Navel (what many young 80s kids freshly turned 18-21 thought was the most sophisticated cocktail to order), and check out the crowd.OMG they're playing Red Rockers!!

Ha, I was 17 when this came out, it still feels fresh like yesterday. I miss the early 80's. The early 80's was so pure.

One of the rare (very) American bands that sound properly New Wave. I'll have to check out their whole album.
