They still suck. Their songwriting is redundant and mediocre. I don't care if they're Nu Metal anyways, their still not even the best of THAT genre. I would much rather listen to Korn that Slipknot. Their first album was the only one near to being good.

First, they use mostly drop B... Children of Bodom is a different genre and the fact you, personally, don't like Slipknot doesn't mean they are shit.

Slipknot sucks shit of any other death metal band other than them. They have 2 drummers and still sound like rubbish. Not to count that they play the same sales in Drop A for about every song. Children Of Bodom write in major scales most of the time and still make it sound heavy as shit. Slipknot may not be sellouts, but their music is still shit.

Guys, what the fuck is wrong, seriously? In many death metal videos I watch, there are always a bunch of idiots that bash Slipknot. Honestly, WTF? The fact that Slipknot are a bit more succesful than other metal bands doesn't mean that they are mainstream, sellouts and shit. If you don't like them, that's ok, no problem but I can't see a reason to be so inhibited.
