Gambino did stupid punchlines better than anyone else in the co(m?)temporary game. I don't think the music on ROYALTY is better than his old stuff at all, unless overproduced, faux gangster pretence and less personal lyrical content means better, Sure his flow was on point, but the content was wack, and so for me it didn't feel like Donald. Obviously you disagree, and that's no problem. lol.

Royalty was amazing though. He dropped the stupid punchlines (which, wouldn't you know it, are popular in "Comtemporary conventional hip-hop/rap as well), reached out to other producers/artists and it helped him make better music. The only real problem with Royalty is that he didn't even rap on the Ghostface track. Ghostface and 'Bino on the same song is a dream collaboration and they just teased us painfully. His flow was on POINT the whole mixtape; unlike Camp. Diferent opinions, clearly lol.
