Chicago is an American rock band formed in 1967 in Chicago, Illinois. The self-described "rock and roll band with horns" began as a politically charged, sometimes experimental rock band and later moved to a predominantly softer sound, generating several hit ballads. They had a steady stream of hits throughout the 1970s and 1980s. Singer Peter Cetera left the band in 1985 and started a successful solo career.

In 1969 CTA performed "I'm a Man" live at the Beat Club in Bremen Germany! In 2012 they returned for a live tour.

Chicago Transit Authority was a powerhouse back then. This song speaks to that. What an awesome performance!

Where the fuck is the brass section? The original LP recording 100 times better than this live performance!

It is one thing to hear them perform this classic song, which sounds great. But, to watch them perform it is another thing. What energy. I loved it. Chicago fans should check out the documentary on Netflix now. It is sad how things went after Kath died but they survivors stuck it out through thick and thin, all the way to being inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Love me some CTA! Sadly they went the way of R.E.O, Doobie Bros and many other bands of that generation...top 40 soft panty pop! That’s when I stopped buying their albums. It’s nice to have these videos of real musicians playing real solid music though, unlike the crud being put out nowadays like I witnessed on the plastic, poser “Glammy” awards, bout made me yak!! Ah the good ol days. Thank you for sharing!

this is really good. i had forgotten it... was flipped here after listening to John Hammond’s I’m a Man. totally different vibe. this is very sophisticated... also thick with dance clubs and other decades.

I think Stevie Winnwood wrote this song at age 16... Is that right?
