This is one of those "stumbled upon by accident" songs. You go to the record store back in the day to buy "Oh Girl" on 45 single, wear the grooves out get tired of hearing it and you decide to flip the record over which nowadays is called the B-side and you play this song, which is off the hizzies. I also like another B-side song "Someone Elses Arms", the flip side of "Stoned Out Of My Mind" 45 single. Of course, UNSUNG brought me here. Now getting ready to look for "Hot on a Thing Called Love" from the 1980's.

This album is a classic and a must have. "The Coldest Days of my Life", that song was groundbreaker in it's day. Nothing today comes close to it. "Oh Girl", still gives me chills!

This is one of the albums that I and some of my friends had in out LP collections in the erly 70's. This and The man and the Woman; The Boy and the Girl are my two fav Chi-Lites songs, but I agree, all the music on this album is great. Been a long time, so thanks so much for posting this great song. The recording, the mixing, the whole production is first rate. Crank up the stereo!

I agree...soul music doesn't get any better than the Chi Lites. Eugene's writing, producing and his melodic voice were a magical fit for soul music. He wrote from a very vunerable perspective (ironically for a Black man). I've read and learned so much about the Chi Lites over the years. I have purchased many CDs (some imports as well) in the past decade. Question - I've been looking for a song entitled "I'll Betcha Never Be Sorry" by the Chi Lites. If so, please download to Youtube.thanks!
