SUGARCOATED'S SIDE BAR:

During these times all the TV shows wanted us to mime the entire performance which we were reluctant to do. A compromise was reached with the shows we finally performed on.

We went into the studio and did a special TV mix. We muted the lead vocal and some of the background vocals . We also muted a few instruments .

On the show Cory's lead vocal , piano , hi-hat , toms , Stony & August background vocals are live. The bell hop singers in the background , horn section, Vibes , Guitar , Bass , most of the Drum kit, Percussion , synthesizer are miming. Notice also that you hear but do not see strings.

BELLHOP SIDEBAR: The Bellhop background singers were just hired for the show.

- Debra Anderson (left) went on and became part of the disco group Stargard.

- Lynda Seals (right) has worked with various artists including Friends of Distinction, Lola Falana, Bill Cosby, Abbe Lane, Johnny Mathis and Helen Reddy

This was one of the greatest groups from the mid-late 70's disco era. all good musicians, and Cory Day was unique in her style. Looks wise, she reminds me of Martha Raye.

Oye!! What's the you know what is going on? All access to the original song on the album are zero. What happened, who pulled the plug on this, Corey or You Tube?Somebody has got to fix this, this song is a natural treasure to the Bronx. National treasure elsewhere. Seriously, what happened????

Am soooooo in love with this song, it's so joyously tempered. I've been seeking, finding, playing, and saving varied copies multiple times in my playlist of DBOSB. Can't get enough, can't get enough of that awesome infectious rhythm and clear voice of Cory Daye belting out the songs. Love 'em love 'em love 'em. ;-))
