I think Cher is misinformed and ignorant for writing this song. Her mother allowed the sisters to babysit her while her mother worked to save money. The Sisters saw that she was unfit and asked if they could adopt her to raise her. Looks like the sisters were apparently correct. This song is full of emotion but has no reality to it...she shows her true colors, biting the hand that not only fed her but they also actually cared about her soul whether she realizes it or not. Cher grow up...your mom was in a tumultuous situation and the good sisters saw that. I know several people who were cared for by inner city sisters and they said that their lives were saved by them in one way or another- whether it was food, direction, shelter or prayers. Cher you are full of (or was told) lying venom....case and point- you were a baby- you don't remember anything proving this song is figment of your imagination.
