Chely Wright - Something Positive and Hopeful video free download

Chely wrote this next song while in the process of writing songs for what would become her next album, Notes To The Coroner. She was sharing her new songs on a daily basis with her manager, record label and other folks involved in her career. Even in their raw state, she'd send rudimentary recordings of these songs to them for the purpose of keeping them in the loop of her progress. After they'd heard a dozen songs or so, she started getting phone calls from members of her team and they were lamenting to her that the songs she was writing were too dark, too depressing. One of them actually said, "Yeah, we've all been talking about it and we think we know what you should do. You should write something positive and hopeful." To which Chely replied, "well, that's not really where I am right now. I'm writing from my heart". Then they said, "Well, we just think that that would be a wise thing for you to do, just TRY to write something positive and hopeful, okay?". Chely hung up the phone and immediately wrote this song--- Something Positive And Hopeful.

Chely plays the song from time to time in her live shows. Recently, at her fan club party at The Country Music Hall Of Fame, she play it again and a fan happened to do a video recording on his cell phone. We have had so many requests on line for the song that Chely said, "Hey, let's put that little video recording up on MySpace and You Tube!". So here you have it, brand new from Chely, it's Something Positive And Hopeful.
