This is Cheap Trick recording one of the earliest versions of the classic rock hit "I Want You to Want Me". This was performed and recorded in front of a small crowd in Wisconsin (I don't know whether it was Madison, Milwaukee, Beloit....) around the summer of 1975. This version is similar to the "Alternate Version" and the "Early Version", that was recorded and just played in 1976 respectively in the production of the Cheap Trick self-titled debut album. The song was written by Rick Nielsen.

Thanks for uploading this! The interesting thing about this song is that they'd undergone several changes in this song, and never seemed quite sure, exactly, which incarnation that they wanted to use. It's interesting that Tom had mentioned that they had otherwise got sick of it and had dropped it from their set around the time of Budokan, but were urged to play it for Budokan and it became the big hit (they thought "Surrender" would be the big hit).

Haha, thanks. I think the song "Pain Pain" from this show is online somewhere. But yeah, I'll try to find more songs.
