I was lucky enough to catch one of their first shows (if not the first) and about 10 total into the Quartet years RIP Calder Spanier. To bad Jay Lane couldn't make it but Scott is amazing also. I was blessed to grow up around the bay. So many great shows! CHT is amazing

I think it was more of "contractually, i have to admit the guy in Nirvana wrote the song I arranged from being a mess to jazz perfection."

6/8 can fit into 3/4 but has a different feel. The same way 2/4 and 12/8 can fit into 4/4.

I don't think it was being an asshole. I think it was scripted. Like... Charlie told him "make sure you ask me if i wrote so I can give rights to the composer"

There's a large difference. 3/4 is three quarter notes per measure. 6/8 is sixth eighth notes per measure. The feeling is substantially different. But you'd only know if you're a mathematician it seems...

Yeah, but in musical situations 6/8 has a completely different feel than 3/4,even though the fractions break down the same.
