from the Album "No Second Chance" 1977

This song a snarky satire of the proverbial guitar hero of the 70's and probably was supposed to stay mediocre as a statement. All in all, this is one of my favorite albums of all time. After I lost my first LP, the songs kept ringing in my head for decades until I was lucky enough to find this CD.

I was turned onto Charlie by my sister who was out in Cali at the time in the mid 70s and found a new favorite band ,they were huge out there but never seemed to crack into the east main stream..I still have this album...

i agree with all the positive comments here. I bought this in '77 when it was released and it was a great album then and still is a classic in my ears. Thanks for posting.

This is a composition with musician-ship ingredients that come together into one outstanding rock song. I bought (and own) the first Charlie album upon it's release here in the states. To this day, every time I spin it, it brings a smile to my face.

Great to hear this again after so long. I am the only one in my town who has heard of Charlie and have got their first four albums on vinyl and all in good nick!! It would be great to hear from someone who rates them

I liked and followed this band in the 70's...BUT...just recently realized the lead vocalist was Terry Wilson (Slesser)....the same TWS that sang on the Backstreet Crawler LP's. BSCrawler was the solo project (early-mid 70's) of the late/great Paul Kossoff....the young-gifted (17yrs old with John Mayhall's Bluesbreakers) guitarist best known for his tenure with Paul Rodgers in FREE.

I heard this song in a rare broadcast Mexico City radio station as an eight-sided LP in the far 1978 and since then Charlie is an invigorating and motivating companion wherever I go

Yes great stuff - I remember buying a Charlie album back in the late 70's ... and I am now mates with and play golf with Terry ... top man ... lead guitarist, singer songwriter for Charlie ... he still gigs occassionally ... and still involved in Music ... great guitarist & songwriter ...
