Just listened to this song like 10× I believe musically he was ahead of his time, just how this song was structured. He sounds to me like a mesh of johnny cash and frank Sinatra. And the end is freaking priceless!

Believe me I'm more than familiar with Ned Miller's version of this song. I love the timbre of Manson's voice.

I simply love the way he pulls this song out. It's really amazing, listen to the original and then come back here to see what I'm talking about. The constant, mellow melody gets a whole new spectrum of dynamics, funky guitar strumming, his crescendo is fantastic, this song is really something that touches your heart, music today would be so much better if artists were singing and playing with this much soul. I don't know what gone wrong with Charles, but boy, there's some true talent here.

He ain't crazy, he realized that we're all god, so we play in this life like we'd do so in a playground! His views were just like mine all the while before I even heard about him, man!

he's kinda like j.bieber, where as young people get crazy and beleive everything he says just because they like his music,or think of him as a role model, another example of how people are cool by themselves but as a group they are crazy.that's one of the reasons he probably felt society would fall.
