HEWLETT PACKARD (HP) Philippines Corp. has partnered with Ayala Foundation, Inc. in providing computers to a public elementary school in Tondo, Manila. HP Philippines yesterday launched its "first of its kind" environmental campaign My Backyard, which includes computer laboratories showcasing HPs latest technologies. The Center for Excellence, a project of the Ayala Foundation, Inc. Ayala Land, Inc., Globe Telecom, Inc., the local government units of Manila and Batangas, and the Department of Education, was chosen as the campaigns first beneficiary. Activities include a community-wide cleanup and the development of a Web site where students can upload photos, essays and videos with "nature-friendly" themes. The new "digital classroom" hosts latest HP products including HP Pavilion PCs, the HP TouchSmart PC, and the HP Laserjet and "all-in-one" printers.
