Chaos Of Nazareth

Biography

Chaos was formed in Nazareth, in 2006 by five Arab friends. Chaos is one of the rarest bands in the Arab sector that have been known for their distinctive genre -- i.e. Metal. The main topic behind their lyrics is the social, political, and daily struggles of the people living in the Middle East. The problems faced here is what pushed them to make a change and to deliver a message of truth to the world in order to try and transform people's lives, By creating such an influential music, people can understand the meaning about the painful reality they are living in. This Holy Land has turned into a cursed one.

That's why we have to fight with everything we've got to be what we believe we are born to do, and not care about people who hate us, because their hatred motivates us to prove we have what it takes to be a great metal band".

In other words, Chaos are here to fight these distasteful thoughts and defend people's rights to live freely and be treated equally. The following quote communicates Chaos' message to the world: "take a look around you, see the truth, tell the truth and acknowledge it, don't let the system deceive you. We all deserve to live in peace, no matter who you are, no matter what color you are, we are all equal human beings living under the same sky." .. .. ..

Chaos released their demo album "Brave Free Souls" towards the end of 2007. Their main gig which took place in January 2008 was a hit for everyone. It was hard for some people to believe that the members of the band were Arabs who could play such a kind of music.

"Brave Free Souls" had a considerable influence on the fans and on the band itself. Therefore, they decided to make a video clip for this particular song, and chose Mount Precipice in Nazareth -- where, according to the Holy Bible, Jesus used to pray -- as the perfect setting for shooting the video clip. After all the success of the first demo album, they focused on getting into the studio, and started discussing the new ideas for their next step towards creating their first official album "Facing The Nation".

That was the name of their first album that came out at the end 2009, and at that point, the band came to a realization that humanity was fading away day after day and life was becoming more and more like a living hell for the band members especially affecting them the place they come from, People are becoming more racist, greedy and intolerant of each other, insofar as they are willing to kill each other. That is the main idea behind their lyrics.

Lamb of God the American metal band had a show in may 2010 and wanted Chaos to be their support band, and they made an impressive opening act in Hangar 11-Tel Aviv and that was CHAOS band's biggest show yet.

In march 2011 tow members left the band to make way for new members to join in. a new bassist Sharbel Sababgha and a Drummer Oday Safadi. Shortly after getting the new band together and feeling the new energies that the new members brought in, the band got invited by the famous hardcore punk band "Napalm Death" for a gig with them in Sublime Club -- Tel Aviv in July,2011.

the band started rethinking to change their bands name to "Chaos Of Nazareth" because it also adds the place they came from and ironically came to poke the phrase "Jesus Of Nazareth"(which we are told in the books that he came to save all human kind, and so is the band in their own chaos way... ).

The creation of the second album started in June 2011, the band decided to show their real Identity and focus on the music to sound mid eastern from the place they came from, and to bring music to a place were the Metal music combined to a pure mid eastern Arab music.

In October the band built their own humble studio in their practice room to begin recording second album "Rise of the Nation".

Forgive me for asking this. Being Arab and playing metal, do you guys ever have problems from devoted Islamist thinking that what you play is against the religion and satanic? I know many people have narrow views on things but I am curious. Keep up the good work guys you F-ing ROCK!!! Will be looking for your CD's to buy!!! =)
