Chandelier - Sia (fingerstyle guitar cover by Peter Gergely) video free download

This is my fingerstyle guitar cover of "Chandelier" by Sia. So far this one was probably the most requested song so I had to cover it. While listening to the original and watching the music video I came across this comment that summerized the meaning of the song & dance beautifully:

"A girl gymnast plays the young Sia (who doesn't like making appearances in her own videos). The music video begins with the gymnast hanging from the bedroom door, it ends with forced curtseys to a empty doorway. Her ballerina moves are amazing, but her actions mimic the following: being moved like a puppet, forced smiles, tears, hiding in a corner, stroking a (pregnant?) belly, arguing with no-one and collapsing on the floor. The video takes place in three acts: a bedroom with mouldy walls (and Sia portraits), a kitchen where the girl talks to herself, and a living room where she 'entertains' invisible guests and dances-drinks to a party that's not there. Halfway to the end she runs out and desperately knocks on a door that doesn't open for her, so she returns sad to the room of the empty party.

Meaning of the video follows from the lyrics: The life of "party girls don't get hurt" is a fake. Everyone just wants them "for a good time call." They fake smiles and are puppet-controlled by others. Ultimately they're as alone as the gymnast with her invisible friends, lovers, party. Life isn't pretty when you live "like tomorrow doesn't exist.""

So with that in mind I took a bit different approach by leaving out the percussion and incorporating deeper bass notes. Leave a comment below and let me know what you think! :)
