Growing up, I was always fascinated by film and then video. I got a super 8 projector when I was 8, and a movie camera when I was 9. I wasn't so much focused on capturing memories as making movies. I liked to narrate, edit, act. I've never been one to snap the random picture or take the home movie just to save the moment. But there is a definite artistic element to motion pictures that I have always been deeply in love with.

Chancellorpink is Raymond G. McLaughlin: all vocals, electric and acoustic guitars, bass, keyboard, drum programming, percussion, production and engineering.

HERE TO HAUNT ME

another day

lost in memories

of another day

a world away

black and white

movies that you turned me onto

before

i knew the score

i'd stay up late through the dawn

with your favorite sweater on

if you'd come here to haunt me

Jesus wept

but he never kept

all your smiles in a row

the undertow

of beautiful rain

keeps washing the happy talk

right down the drain

i say your name

i'd pray the angels away

give up sunshine for a day

if you'd come here to haunt me

cause i keep dreaming of our home

and see you talking on the phone

won't you come here to haunt me?

here to haunt me

Wow! This was incredible. I loved it. It made me terribly sad which is a good thing because I recognized the ghosts and felt what you wanted me to feel with the video. Well done!

Your films are always so insightful. It's amazing how little of my life has ever been caught on video or photos. I am a terrible memory keeper. Perhaps it should be my resolution to capture more things. I think I have always thought in the grand scheme ...most memories are only relevant to the person who had them. Obviously this is terribly untrue. Thanks for sharing another peek at what it's like to be CP.
