Chain - I remember when I was young ,1973,

Check out Matt Taylor

http://au.youtube.com/user/foreverrecords48

From The Straight As A Die Album. Also a Chain record in all but name, and showcasing Taylor's own rollicking, witty compositions, this album was a Top-20 seller and in September yielded Mushroom Records' first placing in the national Top 10 singles list, "I Remember When I Was Young" a song that, like "I'll Be Gone", "Eagle Rock" and "Most People I Know", has becomea perennial 70s OzRock anthem.

Used to go to the local school on a Saturday night  to watch Matt Taylor and chain when they had just started out...Unreal band.

The single was credited as being Matt Taylor's first single without Chain (even though the backing sounded so much like Chain). I had the pleasure of seeing Matt do this song at Brisbane's Festival Hall with guitar backing from Gary Laurie - no other muso's. It was on a Lobby Lloyd and Billy Thorpe show.

Born 1958 This song still reminds me of my first times. Times I still have to reconcile. Well I remember when I was young, at times it was horror, and I hate it.

Saw Matt and Phil in support of the Doobies a few years back, my mrs bought their CD at interval, got a kiss of both of them, she hasn't washed her face since. Timeless music, priceless memories. Chain, brilliant then, still brilliant now

Always have loved the snappy Bass line in this tune. Great stuff from a great time.
