That was no civilization. It was a murderous, slave holding atrocity.

There was a land of Cavaliers and Cotton Fields called the Old South... Here in this pretty world Gallantry took its last bow... Here was the last ever to be seen of Knights and their Ladies Fair, of Master and of Slave... Look for it only in books, for it is no more than a dream remembered. A Civilization gone with the wind...

My first 'concert' was Chad and Jeremy Baptist College Charleston, South Carolina spring 1966 they were wonderful. First part of the show was just the two of them w acoustics. Second half brought out a drummer and a bassist (James William Guercio who later discovered and produced The Buckinghams and Chicago). Chad brought out his doubleneck electric I remember 'Stormy Monday lues' as part of the 2nd half. I was in 10th grade.....

High quality duo! Thanks for posting .. this is something "new" to me ... because I've never heard these lads before ... but, I'm the die-hard fan of music from the early sixties! Thanks again!

On this day in 1964 {November 28th} Chad & Jeremy performed "Willow Weep for Me" on the late Dick Clark's 'American Bandstand'... Two weeks earlier on November 14th it entered Billboard's Hot Top 100 chart; eventually it peaked at #15 and spent 13 weeks on the Top 100... It reached #13 on the Canadian RPM Tracks chart... R.I.P. Mr. Clark {1929 - 2012}...

Just loved these guys, so sad all those days are long gone. Just clean straight music an era long gone. Never realized how fast 45 years could go :(

Absolutely.....They keep me realizing it all wasn't something I imagined and provide a bright glimmer in the mediocrity of today.

@flamesounds,,,,Isn't wonderful to still get chills when you hear this song? Makes is all worth it. I'd rather have these clips here and there,,,,,then never to have experienced it at all. <3

Simple and evocative of a time in my life not dulled by the onslaught or real life.

This hit by Chad & Jeremy was the 49th #1 song on Billboard's newly formed chart that is now known as the Adult Contemporary charts. It also hit #15 on the Top 40 charts.

@wandre9 Well Gordon could DEFINITELY take the willowy Jeremy- his counterpart. However Peter may have some trouble with Chad. Peter is frail and Chad may get the drop.

@leeleebaby2100 Damn I wish that were true.
