Well, actually celtic frost is between the avant-garde black metal and the gothic-doom (IMO) and their calm songs are more into the goth than the black metal. So your opinion is pretty accurate.

i got to see celtic frost w/ voivod 1984 to this day it has been the best show ive ever seen. 2 bands that were special in there own ways.......it was a brutal show in Seattle wa think maybe at the moore theater or the paramont. long time ago cant remember but do remember the show truely blew me away and set the tone to my own time spent in bands in seattle wa.
