Heard this live on Saturday night at the Cooly hotel. Crowd was going off. If you get a chance to see them then don't hesitate. They are still awesome.

twenty years and I have never picked the similarity between the two. 30 years playing guitar. Both songs blew my mind in their own time. I'd pick this over Nirvana if only for sentimental reasons.

I've always wondered if Nirvana knew this song at 1'57'' before they wrote "Smells like teen spirit".

you will note the similarity between the 2 songs parts yet one band changed the course of altenative rock music history which is a very big deal and not something to dilute because we like both bands, and not because its an easy riff. If you listen to Nirvanas repertoire, that is the only song with that type of rhythm and dynamics, that is a big deal. The rifles have quite a few songs written in that style. By the way, its not a riff its a chord progression and theres an important difference.

3 years later I took up the brush and answered you. I apologize for the delay. Actually, I uploaded this song from Blind Ear on a CD version that I regularly bought years ago. So, as concerns my upload, this is not a second hand copy. Probably on vinyl the sound is better. Thanks anyway for your annotation.

Thats because it is the exact same chord progression. Nirvana stole it off the rifles and made millions of dollars and changed music history hahahha the only difference is that they slightly altered the rhythm so as not to make it too obvious which most people would not know

That last minute or so sounds like they wrote Smells like teen spirit before Kurt did!
