There is another version of this song by the Cathedrals with Danny Funderburke. If anyone has it could you please upload it ? I would so much appreciate it.

@JakesMuzik Whole-heartedly agreed. I've spoken to Kirk a lot since that all came out. I've seriously never seen a man who truly wanted to do what was right like him. Temptation does not the sin make. We are ALL tempted. In different ways. I'd definitely go hear him if he were in my area.

@MrEdwards1992 ....Yes, Kirk was the best tenor in Gospel Music at this period of time, no question. I have news for you though, while living a homosexual lifestyle is condemned by scripture (and which Kirk denies that he ever lived), there are plenty of singers living continually in the clutches of sin. So let's no pile up on Kirk just because his skeletons are no longer in the closet. There probably wouldn't be many quartets left if everyone's sins were visible for the rest of us to see.

It really is too bad that Kirk turned out to be homosexual. He had the talent of any singer out there. It is always sad to see such Christian role models fall to the clutches of sin.

Roger was a great writer and musician and I may have been hasty in claiming Kirk best without taking Rog in consideration. Kirk stands out to me because of the shape the Cats were in when he joined them and most may not know that George and Glen was considering retirement at that time. I felt like Kirks writing and style played a major role in revitalizing the group. But no doubt Roger was just as effective through the years.

....my songwriter of choice? Roger Bennett-but Kirk CAN write some definite gems....for WRITING credits, they are both monsters.

I don't know if I would say that Kirk is THE best, but he is certainley one of the best tenors is gospel music history.

Kirk Talley is good, no doubt ... but I don't know how anybody can put Danny Funderburk in second to anyone! Lol! I hate to say it, but I don't think there will ever be someone better than Danny!
