Interesting. This is not the version that is on the Kulanjan recording. Check it out on iTunes.

Mental baloney aside on the origins of blues I agree with the people who say....enjoy it.....like a fine wine or a great meal. Music is not to argue about....it's to enjoy unless it's the Bieb.

Nice stuff. Taj Mahal, a lot like Ry Cooder has done a lot of interesting collaborations with roots musicians from around the world. I like.

if you did your homework dear boy, you will discover that blues has no definitive beginning and is compiled from various different influences from many different countries. put yourself infront of any real blues artist and ask them yourself, or take yourself off to college and learn like the rest of us

ahahahaha , many of the elements that were to develop into the blues came from the African continent but nothing has ever proven that blues originated from africa, blues evolved over a large period of time and became known as blues long after the music style was established..... elements of blue from many countries make blues what it is today , it cant be pinned down to anywhere

american, not american, blues and not from Mali (not Malia)... who should care about anything but listen to beautiful music played by people happy to share it with us while enjoying their common musical roots kept alive through centuries of death, despair and oppression...

@sofianeboudriesordon First off, I didnt say anything about anything being American..... this is a Blues song with Malian style, like I said in original post. That is all I said. This song didn't come from Malia. It was written by someone from Mississippi. Robert Petway. Secondly, no, Blues came from Black people born in AMERICA, therefore it is AMERICAN.
