is that the guy from 20 miles on guitar? I luv this jazzy style way better than the more strait forward approach but i can see how non-musicians would see it as fucked up sounding. First time I saw her in 1999 in NYC i was upset because she had no band and was alone. It was hot as fuck in there too.

Cat Power というシンガーがいる。10年ほど前はアメリカのインディ界のアイドル的な存在だったはず。今は大御所か。ただインタビューなどを見ると、はなから Chan Marshall という本名で呼ばれているので、単なるステージネームとはニュアンスが異なるようだ。間違ってもキャトちゃんとかパワーさんとか呼んではいけないんだろう。ちなみにショーンちゃんはネコよりも犬が好きだということである。本人いわく前世は犬だったとか。実にまきらわしい。

the musicians are fine, chans live shows in her later career are meant to be very free and loose. her vocal lines are quite different from the recorded version, which some might like but personally i hate i didnt enjoy seeing her live as every single song was reworked.
