I am glad you shared your story coz all the time l wondered why you sang that and if your story could be similar to mine. Very similar except that l was the one hurting. I sang the song for 3consecutive days non stop and was crying real tears and was reciting Psalm 139. All 3 together non stop. I would stop if i fell asleep. The.moment i wake up, am on it again-singing reciting and crying non stop. My whole mind body n soul was surrendering to God saying after all you knew l was going to be in this situation before l was formed in my mothers womb so l praise you in this storm though my heart is torn. On the 3rd day while i was at work still crying still singing still reciting my bible i fell down with so much anger and pain. It was as if something extremely heavy was on my shoulders. I cried out with a weary voice . I said Please God help me for l am burdened. I felt the hand of God lifting me up from the floor and i sat on a chair that was near me in that corridor and God spoke. He said wat do u want me to do. I paused for a while because l had not thought thru wat l actually wanted from God. He started giving me options "Do u want this person to die?" I paused thinking of what that would do to his beloved ones and me included. l said no. He said "Do u want him to be paralysed?" I paused again thinking thru of wat that would do to his beloved and l said LORD I DO NOT WANT YOU TO DO ANYTHING TO HIM. I LOVE HIM. I FORGIVE HIM. Immediately I stood up from there with so much happiness. I wasnt crying anymore. I was the happiest person in the world. I remembered the verse when the son of man sets you free you are free indeed. The heavy load had been taken away. I was hopping and jumping and praising God. My tears were were turned into happiness.

Thank you Casting Crowns not only for this song, but for the ministry God has called you guys to do. I was visiting my in laws with my wife and I had to take her to the hospital because she was having problems with her leg. It was a very rough season in our lives. She was in the hospital for about a week and we made the decision I would go home and go back to work because our funds were running low. After the long 5 hour drive right when I walked into the house I receive a call from my wife saying that they are going to perform emergency surgery and that she may lose her leg. I began to feel an overwhelming feeling guilt for leaving her but I knew it was the best decision for us. After much prayer God spared her leg. A month later I went back to pick her up and her wound from surgery had gotten infected so I had to take her back to the hospital. I cried many tomes playing this song. It has taught me that no matter what never stop praying and trusting God. Keep up the good work!

Back in 2005, my wife and I separated for a month, during that time of our separation, I had heard this song, and it really helped me, helped me to give God praise even though I was going through that storm in my life and the pain, and because of it, he gave me the strength and courage to get through it. Thank you for such an awesome uplifting song. I saw Casting Crowns at the Lifelight Festival in Sioux Falls, SD that year, and had tears in my eyes as they sang the song, and singing along.
