I don't think I can accurately put into words just how much this song has affected me. As a fellow cancer survivor, I can see exactly how these were Mark's feelings when he himself was diagnosed. No one can truly understand what it is like to go through cancer unless they have gone through it, too...other than Christ, that is. So much more has happened since cancer, though. Our family imploded when one of my kids disclosed abuse to me. The resulting police investigation, pending divorce, caring for the physical, mental, psychological, spiritual, and emotional needs of all of my children, the continued abuse from the family of the abuser, the cover up by the abuser's family and church, the finances....just all of it......I never knew just how deep that valley could be. I thought cancer was the worst thing that could happen to our family. I thought we had survived the worst. I was so wrong; so, so wrong. Never has my faith waivered, but the Lord and I have had some pretty serious conversations and arguments. How much more can we take? It seemingly just continues to worsen as more and more things are revealed. I did manage to figure out a way to take one of the children to the Casting Crowns concert last weekend. When I heard this song, especially when it was immediately followed by "Just Be Held", well, let's just say that there were a lot of tears from both of us. I needed to hear this. Honestly, by going, I was hoping that a giant influx of the Holy Spirit would refresh us. It did, but also opened up new ways to see through all of this tragedy...a new perspective...a new way of trying to deal with it...a new way to surrender. Thank you for listening to Him and writing this and all of your music. I just wish you could know how much it has meant to us

I love this song!!! This is my shipwrecked faith.... It saddens me that I truly am that weak even though I know God's love alone is much stronger and truer than any thing in my life. I stand in the shallow water while for years God has been calling me out to the deeper waters. what is wrong with me???
