My broken self... Can it be possibly repaired? How can one love when they can't even love oneself? I honestly don't think that's passible unless someone broken comes and fix your own brokenness... Though will that day ever come? Will I ever get to smile? Will I be able to love one day? To wear that white dress? To walk down the aisle? To make a promise of an eternity? Will I be able to find happiness...? I don't know the answer... But I do know that I yearn for that smile I need to survive my day. For that embrace who'll sooth my loneliness. For that kiss who'll make reality a not so bad place to be. For that person.. I can truly call mine. Funny how different folks hear this song and it's meaning to them. To me/us it means life isn't always perfect nor does it always follow "our plan" but together we can get through it together forever, regardless of how broken, allowing our faith in God to help give us the strength to cope with all we can't control that affects us directly and indirectly. Whether it be the loss of a job, a mate, a friend, a child, a family, a home, anything that is a challenge in our life which can make us feel broken...and to have someone to share those trials and tribulations with, is a blessing. Forever Broken Together has a positive meaning to us...and all we've experienced that is broken. :)
