It's so easy to lose the pocket when you play busy patterns on the high hat.... Carter's playing never seems to sound busy... even though it's ALWAYS busy.He is right on the pocket, every note sounds like it belongs.

Almost 20 years since I first heard DMB and I haven't heard a drummer more awesome to my ears in any genre. Almost 20 yrs of drumming and I can't do anything close to what this guy can do. Few things musical can excite me as consistently as Carter on a pair of hi hats.
