One of the sad things about singers remaking songs is literally trying to copy the original. Each singer has a unique signature when they do a song and it's so distasteful to try to literally copy that "signature." However, I'll say that I wasn't as disappointed in this as I thought I would be. I'm so hesitant to listen to remakes of certain songs as there are just some songs that are sacred and can easily be disgraced but I can say that neither Lee Ann nor Carrie ruined it too badly with the modern sound.
